Mission
The purpose of HeliaHealth Counseling is to provide exceptional mental health care to youth and adults, specifically youth and adults of marginalized communities within the Salt Lake Valley. We want to support our clients through their struggles and celebrate them with their successes. A new day arises with HeliaHealth.
Values
Our approach to therapy involves warmth and flexibility. No two clients are exactly alike, so it is very important to meet clients where they are. We also approach therapy with an emphasis on solution-focused and strength-based, since the client is the expert in their individual lives. Our role is to provide support and understanding for my clients, and to help them make sense of the world based on their own understanding.
What is HeliaHealth?
The name HeliaHealth comes from the scientific name for sunflowers: “Helianthus annuus,” where it stems from the Greek words ἥλιος : hḗlios meaning ‘sun' and ἄνθος : ánthos meaning 'flower'. And just like sunflowers representing strength, resiliency, and optimism, we at HeliaHealth want to provide those same qualities to all we serve.
